How does dine rewards work?  

Here's how it works:

• Joining: Customers can join the Dine Rewards program by signing up online through the program's website or through the mobile app of the participating restaurants.

• Earning points: Once customers have joined the program, they can earn points with every purchase they make at the participating restaurants. For every dollar spent on food and non-alcoholic beverages, customers earn 5 points.

• Redeeming rewards: When customers accumulate 350 points, they receive a $5 reward that can be used towards future purchases at the participating restaurants

• Additional benefits: In addition to earning points and rewards, dine rewards members also enjoy other benefits such as exclusive news, special offers, and the opportunity to be the first to know about new menu items

What are the different types of dine rewards program?  

Dining reward programs come in various forms, each offering unique benefits and ways to earn rewards. Here are some of the different types of dine reward programs:

1. Restaurant-specific loyalty programs

These programs are offered by individual restaurant chains and are designed to reward frequent customers.

Examples:

• Starbucks rewards: Members earn stars for every purchase, which can be redeemed for free drinks and food items.
• Chick-fil-A one: A tiered rewards program where customers earn points per dollar spent, with different perks depending on their level  
• Domino's piece of the pie rewards: Earn 10 points for every order of at least $10, which can be redeemed for free pizzas.  

2. Multi-restaurant programs

These programs allow customers to earn rewards at a variety of participating restaurants.

Example:

• Rewards Network: Partners with major airline programs and hotel chains, allowing members to earn points or miles for dining at participating restaurants.

3. Credit card dining rewards

Some credit cards offer bonus points or cash back for dining purchases.

Example:

• American Express gold card: Earns 4 points per dollar spent at restaurants worldwide  
• Capital One SavorOne cash rewards credit card: Offers 3% cash back on dining.

4. Travel-related dining programs

These programs are often linked to airline or hotel loyalty programs, allowing members to earn points or miles for dining.

Examples:

• IHG rewards dine & earn: Earn IHG points for dining at participating restaurants  
• Marriott's eat around town: Earn bonus points for dining at participating restaurants.

5. Special promotions and seasonal rewards

Some programs offer rewards during special promotions or for specific occasions.

Examples:

• Birthday rewards: Many restaurants offer special rewards or discounts for members on their birthdays.
• Periodic promotions: Programs may offer additional points or discounts during certain times of the year to boost business during slow periods.

6. Survey-based rewards

Some programs require members to complete surveys after dining to earn rewards.

• Rewards network: Members may be asked to complete a review based on their dining experience to earn rewards.
